Subject: Smooth as silk..
Not bad. Leslie Brooks is good in this little drama, but I loved her in The Scar which can also be found here. In that she plays Virginia Taylor, the classy date of gangster Johnny Muller (Paul Henried), thinking he's someone else.

Subject: Perfect

The only thing they didn't show was who came to take the trash out after everyone else left the room. The confession scene was not at all credible, but the rest of the film worked just fine for me. I usually avoid noir-ish films and other dark things as too depressing, but this was just what I needed this evening. Thanks, and good night.

The camera work is very basic, the lighting perfect for film noir, and the femme fatale eats up the scenery without being manic.

It was a good way to spend 75 minutes on a rainy night with take out food.

The last line was worth waiting for.

Subject: Ice, Ice, Baby!
Great B picture, full of zippy lines, incredible plot twists and competent acting. Can picture this being made at Warner Bros. in the late 40s with, maybe, Alexis Smith or Bette Davis as the chilly towhead and George Brent or Robert Alda as her discarded newspaperman boyfriend. But this version is no less enjoyable. One of the few film noirs with a woman as a main character. Love it!

Subject: Robert Paige & Leslie Brooks Excellent in "Blonde Ice"
An excellent plot, good acting by the principal actors Robert Paige, Leslie Brooks, and supporting cast, make this a good movie to see. Leslie Brooks, in particular, lifted this movie up to a higher level by her excellent portrayal of a complex character. I believe Leslie Brooks retired from film in 1949, a year after this film was released. Again, a very, very good low budget movie.
